For the July 2018 Book Club selection, TransportiCA has chosen Resilience for All: Striving for Equity Through Community-Driven Design, by Dr. Barbara Brown Wilson. As TransportiCA has stated since day one, equity is the least-discussed element of sustainability (the other two being the environment and economy), and Dr. Brown's newest publication describes why it benefits EVERYONE to include communities traditionally left-out of the sustainability debate.
With every month's selection, TransportiCA provides three questions, and if you send us all three correct responses by the end of the month, and your name is drawn, you will win a copy of the book.
The contest questions for Resilience for All are:
(1) Dr. Wilson is co-founder of what student-focused event, and what community-focused nonprofit?
(2) Name one of two of Dr. Brown's academic (institution) affiliations?
(3) Dr. Wilson is co-author of what other publication?
Thank you for your interest in the Book Club, and best of luck with the contest!
For July, Island Press is offering Resilience for All, and hundreds of eBooks, for only $4.99!
No purchase is necessary, as questions are not taken directly from the publication, but from respective technical information and publicity. To send-in your responses, submit via TransportiCA's "Contact Form" on the front-page (bottom left), sending your name, email address and answers. The deadline for submission is 23:59, Tuesday, 31 July 2018.
