A huge congratulations goes to Grant Allen of Salt Lake City and David Mann of South Jordan - December's Global Street Design Guide contest winners! Grant and David answered all three contest questions correctly.
The contest questions were:
1. Bloomberg Philanthropies selected 10 cities, as part of their new Global Road Safety Initiative in 2015, and NACTO's Global Designing Cities Initiative (GDCI) worked with representatives from 72 cities and 42 countries, as part of a Global Expert Network to develop the recently released Global Street Design Guide.
2. True or False: Traffic danger is a sporadic global health crisis responsible for 1.25 million deaths annually. [Traffic danger is a persistent, not sporadic global health crisis...]
3. When prioritizing users in street designs, which user should receive first priority? Pedestrian
Again, congrats to Grant and David, and we wish them all the best with their continued education of sustainable transportation!
