LACBC is excited to welcome Daniella Alcedo to our Board of Directors! If her name sounds familiar, it's because Daniella has been an active LACBC member and volunteer since 2011 when she started her planning and policy internship here. Growing up in Covina and the Pomona Valley region, she noticed a lack of resources in her region, particularly in active transportation. So when she heard about the LACBC chapter program, she jumped on board and formed the Pomona Valley Bicycle Coalition to help increase local bicycle education opportunities and participate in the City of Pomona Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan. Her passion to strengthen advocacy voices led her to co-create the Women Bike, Women Lead summit in 2015. In a partnership between LACBC and Multicultural Communities for Mobility (MCM), the summit aimed to inspire and motivate women-identified participants to use their voice to increase and improve active transportation in their communities. Daniella is excited to be on the board and elevate the organization's presence in active transportation in L.A. County and nationwide.
