NHTSA Begins Safe Cars Save Lives Bus Tour

Safe cars save lives tour

Following a kickoff event in Atlanta on July 9th, NHTSA’s Safe Cars Save Livesbus tour will be traveling across America’s southern States from August 9-13 to spread the word about vehicle safety and the Takata air bag recall. This bus tour aims to raise public awareness of:
  • Vehicle Recalls and how to search for them using NHTSA’s Recalls
    Look-Up Tool
  • Tire Maintenance and Safety, including checking for proper tire
    pressure and wear;
  • Child Safety Seats and their proper installation and use; and
  • Heatstroke when children are left in hot cars and how to
    protect kids from it.
Along the bus tour, NHTSA will be joined by one or more of its safety partners, including Safe Kids, the Rubber Manufacturers Association, and AAA.
Support NHTSA’s mission of helping Americans drive, ride and walk safely by participating in an event near you.
