Summer is just getting started at Union Station! Here are your Metro Art June events, all of which are free and open to the public.
- Sunday, June 12: Art & Architecture Tour of Union Station. Meet at the Union Station information kiosk located near the Alameda Street entrance. Metro Art docents will guide you through Union Station and the artwork in the Gold Line portal and inside Metro headquarters. The tour begins at 10:30 a.m. and runs until 12:30 p.m.
- Sunday, June 12: The Floor + The Open Floor Society turns the Union Station Historic Ticketing Hall into an improv dance club from noon until 4 p.m. Learn different styles of dance and show off your own.
- Friday, June 17: Back by popular demand, it’s the Charles Phoenix: Downtown Los Angelesland live slideshow performance. Get to know the “theme park” that is Los Angeles. Doors to Historic Ticketing Hall open at 8 p.m. Shows starts at 8:30 p.m. and runs until 10 p.m.
- Wednesday, June 22: The first film of the summer season is X: The Unheard Music, which tells the story of the iconic L.A. punk band X. The screening will be held in Union Station’s North Patio. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. The movie starts at 8 p.m. with an introduction by a special guest. The film screenings are a part of a collaboration with Los Angeles Filmforum.
Union Station is accessible via Metro Rail, Metro Bus and several municipal bus lines. Use the Trip Planner for routes and connections. Bicycle parking is also available on site.
